Reasons you should wear a helmet on a bike or motorcycle?

*~*love*~*

I have to do any essay on why helmets should be worn with a bicycle and motorcycle.
I need 3 reasons: so far I have that it keeps you safe and it really doesn't inconvenient a person to wear one.
I need help with a 3rd reason though.
Any ideas?

Answer
It's a good example for younger children. All little kids should wear them because they have a greater chance of falling off and hurting themselves. If they see older kids and adults wearing them, they might be more inclined to.

What are the government proposed limits on "high risk" citizens?

considering health care?

Will bungee jumping be covered? Will persons required to take specific classes and receive certification for certain sports? And will parent be put in prison for not providing their children with bicycle safety helmets which accidents cause increased cost for the community to take on as a burden?

Answer
No, no and no to answer your questions.

FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet.

FACT - the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage.

That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, Cuba, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage.

I think the last link is of most use in addressing your concerns.

Name that video arcade game?

90's arcade game involving a bicycle powered blimp.

Anyone remember that arcade game from the mid to late 90's where you flew a hot air blimp through a variety of landscapes (popping giant balloons, navigating through caves, etc.) all through the power of a stationary bike?

I remember playing it in the arcade room at the Treasure Island casino in Vegas as a kid.

Anyone remember the name? It would make a heck of a Nintendo Wii game.

Answer
Prop Cycle http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9139

And I agree it would make a great Wii game. To emulate it you would use the controller and the numbchuck, Moving them with your arms like you were peddling a bike after enough forward motion is made you fly like your holding on to the gliders control bar pushing side to side for left/right pull back for up push forward for down. Basic controls anyway.

Sugar glider or asus transformer prime? "Sugar gliders are legal here"?

As the question stated above, which should I get, me and my family will be upgrading to the iPhone 5 late October-November. Right now I have an iPod touch, "Flashback", my dad told me he would get me a bike, roughly worth 300, I hesitated and asked him if I could get sugar gliders instead, after a while, he ok'd it, (a pair of 2 for 300), i was also thinking about getting the tablet for school purposes with the laptop dock I could buy later. So in your opinion, which do you think I should get. If you decide to help, please do not leave rude comments, I got the iPod mid November 2011, our phones are due upgrade, but we're waiting for next gen iPhone, and my dad was planning on getting the gift "sugar gliders or tablet for the 2 birthdays, and 2 christmas' I told him I would just rather save up for something later on in life. My birthday is in a week, so can you please help me? Sorry this is confusing, I mentioned iPhone and iPod background so you wouldn't think I'm a spoiled brat, the real question was ""(Sugar glider or asus transformer prime tablet)"" BTW, both are priced $300, thank you

Answer
Get the tablet for school. You have the right idea about getting two sugar gliders since they can't be alone, but I think you're forgetting that it usually runs about 150-300 for each glider (unless there is a special deal for buying pairs), then it'll be a couple of hundred dollars more for the necessary supplies to keep them healthy and happy. You need the appropriate housing material: a tall or wide cage good enough to house them will run you about $100 (most likely more) so that'll be $400 now, a glider safe wheel that's not too small for them will be about $20-50, a cage set that has pouches made of FLEECE can cost, depending on the set, what it comes with, the patterns, where you buy them, somewhere from $15-50 bucks, water bottle and food dishes another $10-20 bucks. They need to be on special mixed diets. There's no such thing as a healthy staple pellet diet for gliders. Anyone who tries to sell you gliders with pellet food, heat rocks, a guide, a small cage, etc. is wrong. Most of their diets can be purchased at your supermarket and/or online. To start out, you'll probably spend about $50 for all the ingredients combined, but after it should last you a few months if you buy frozen fruits and veggies rather than fresh. They need toys to keep them entertained so this could run you at the cheapest about another $20 bucks. And then treats anywhere from $10-20 bucks. I'd check out the HPW and BML diets for an idea on what a healthy staple diet is for gliders. If you don't meet their dietary needs, you can end up staining their coat, giving them a calcium deficiency which can paralyze their hind legs forever, shorten their life span and/or kill them.

A few other things about gliders: it's necessary to use fleece for pouches and bedding material. This is so that they don't get stuck on string and chew their body parts off to get free or lose circulation and need to have a leg or a tail (whatever is stuck in the string) amputated. A lone glider can risk becoming depressed, lonely, stressed out and will eventually self-mutilate and/or die. They have no bowel control so they cannot control when or where they pee and poop so there can't be potty trained. You'll be picking up after them very often. They're messy eaters so they fling and throw their food everywhere, even through the bars of their cage. And they can throw far. You'll find food in ridiculous places. Their nails need to be trimmed, depending on the glider, every 2 weeks to once a month, because they get sharp and long and it's easier for them to get stuck on things. It's very hard to trim some gliders nails because they don't like it. They'll make a fuss and if you mess up you can end up trimming too far back and hurt them. They're nocturnal so they must sleep about 20hours during the day. Too much light hurts their eyes. I have four gliders and they usually don't wake up until 1am and they are up until 7am, running around their cage, banging things and barking. If you're a light sleeper, they will probably keep you up most of the night.

Also, be sure to check that they are legal where you live as some places do not allow people to have gliders and others require that you at least have a permit. Make sure to do your research as well. They are cute animals but they are labeled exotic pets for a reason. They're very expensive and high maintenance. No exotic animal is easy to care for. They each have very strict requirements when it comes to taking care of them. It's quite like having a child you have to specially prepare meals for and clean up after all the time, that never grows up! Much harder to care for than cats and dogs. So be careful with your decision! I know many teens and kids who bought them and realized it's too much of a responsibility for them to handle and eventually the gliders feel more like a chore to them and enjoy them less. If you're patient and willing to research and provide for the gliders, in the end they are rewarding pets.

What bike should I get for my kid?

Ben

This morning I ran over my kids bicycle when I backed out of the driveway. I was thinking about getting him a walmart junk bike but I figured that maybe I should just go out and get him a good one instead. Are there any good aluminum framed BMX bikes for 7 year old kids? His destroyed bike is an 18" walmart Mongoose ship anchor.

Answer
Bike shops are usually the best place to get an entry level bike for any age. Sure the price will be more than a department store, but you will be getting a suitable vehicle as opposed to a disposable toy.

Childrenâs bikes are usually cheep and disposable no matter what. Some BMX companies (freestyle & race) have invested some money into making childrenâs bikes more reliable for performance. Childrenâs mountain bikes have come a long way as well. Expect these bikes to be more expensive than normal childrenâs bikes.

Take him to a bike shop and hook him up with whatever he likes that fits him. At 7 years old a bike is usually a bike. If you have money, buy it. If you donât find something in your price range at the bike shop, check out craigslist. Hook up with a few sellers that are selling something similar to the bike you found at the bike shop. Do some test riding, and low ball the best seller with cash.

If you donât know anything about bikes, take the craigslist bike back to the shop for a solid once over.

I hope this helped!

water pipes freeze, will my idea work...?

todd5524

I rent a half shabby apartment, and the water pipes freeze when it's really cold. I thought about actually buying some of those long foam insulators ( the ones they use on kids bicycle handlebars ) and just work them around the pipes in the basement. I just thought it would be so much easier to apply than regular insulation that gets wet from condensation etc. would it work ?

Answer
It would most likely work, but you have to make sure the hole in the middle of the insulation is the same size as the outer diameter of the pipe. If there is space between the insulation and the pipe, that air will still drop, and potentially allow your pipes to freeze, inside the insulation. Your best bet is to buy the 6' lengths of insulation, at your local hardware store. There are different types, one is scored with a precut line, that you split open, and install around the pipe. This type requires that you use an additional tape to wrap the insulation. The other type is split, with adhesive applied to the edges. Upon installing it on the pipe, you peel the cellophane protector, and the glue from both edges, keeps the insulation in place. These come in different sizes, for different types of pipe. Make sure you buy the correct type for the pipe that you have. When installing this type insulation, cut angles, so you can completely cover all the pipe. Insulating the pipes, and not the joints, will increase the chance of a rupture at the exposed joints. Good luck to you, and stay warm!

I was thinking diapers but is there anything you'd prefer? He likes to put things in his mouth btw... Also if I buy him clothes what kind of clothes? Onesey, shorts..ect? Its almost summer time but its cold here in Alabama.

Answer
Babies that age love the toys that they can push around. They also love the toy version of pots and pans. Go down the aisle at the store that has the toys for babies and look at the age recommendation on the labels. They will tell you if it is recommended for babies/toddlers that are 12-18 months. Babies also love the security blankets that have a stuffed animal attached and satin binding around the edges. If you want to get something fun, there are some low to the ground scooting riding toys like tractors or four wheeled scooting bikes.

babysitting ideas for a one year old and a seven year old?

Mere

I'm babysitting a one year old boy and a seven year old boy for a few days and I want to do really fun stuff. With the seven year old we are going to watch a movie tomorrow while the baby is napping and thursday probably bake cookies and play some games. But I don't know what to do for the other four and a half hours when the one year old is awake and so is the seven year old. The one year old cant do the same stuff as the seven year old and the seven year old doesn't like one year old stuff. I need things to do with both of them. Any ideas?

Answer
Puzzles
Paint
Craft
Park
Take a walk
Bike ride( you push baby in stroller )
Legos
Trains
Make a tent
Games(baby is on your team)
Dance
Bubbles
Water balloons
Bake
Scavenger hunt(7yr old version and short 1 yr old version)

Supervise baby closely with all this and help him. Toddlers can do more then most think. So try new stuff with him and if he can't do it, at least you tried. They can surprise you and can do stuff we may think there to young for. Of course don't let it be something a 3+yr old can do. Use your judgement.

How do you raise your kid in a more outdoors kind of place?

This is weird question, but when I have a kid, I don't want them to be raised in a technology driven city or town. Somewhere when they can be out in the open. I don't want to rid them completely of the world, but you know what I'm
Gettin at.

Answer
Our family lives on a "hobby farm" in the country. There is a gas station, grocery store, pharmacy, library and a few other things within minutes but we have to drive about 20-30 minutes to get to Wal Mart, the mall, our bank (though there is a bank in our small town), the hospital, etc.

We live on a little over ten acres, which allows us to garden (we grow some, but not all, of our own food), raise chickens, have a pond which they fish in and have, on several occasions, gone swimming in, and go around in a pedal boat. They ride bikes, go swimming (we have a pool), jump rope and hula hoop and climb trees and have races and walk around our property and have obstacle courses. They ride golf carts and dirt bikes and go carts and have a pedal car. They play basketball and jump on the trampoline. They have a clubhouse, a tree fort and they have a hideout in the woods.

They also have their own cell phones (works better than any walkie talkies for communicating with them while they are out on the property, out of sight/hearing). They have Nintendo DSs and a Wii. Technology does have benefits and I think is important for children to know and understand. However, we balance their television/computer time with outdoor recreation s they are excercising and getting fresh air. I feel as if we have the best of both worlds:)

Why do many kids bicycles' pedals not rotate freely in reverse direction?

Nash R

I have to buy a kids bicycle (20"). I noticed that pedals in many of these bicycles do not rotate freely in reverse direction. Is that a feature or a bug? It's useful to have them rotate freely so that you can easily bring to them to starting position when you're just starting your ride.

Answer
As others have noted that style of brake is known as a 'coaster' brake and is very common with bicycles designed for younger kids. It operates much like a drum brake in that when operated by pedalling backwards small internal plates are pressed against the internal shell of the rear hub. Kids bicycles have coaster brakes because smaller children for the most part do not have enough hand strength or have not developed enough coordination to operate a hand brake that you would see on most adult or larger kids bikes. Yet they do need to be able to stop, hence the coaster brake. On larger kids bikes -- with 20" wheels or BMX style frames -- you will often see a combination of a front hand brake with a coaster brake. This is sort of an inbetween bike, if you will, designed to allow the developement of the hand strength and coordination necessary to operate a normal hand brake.

I am asking this question in light of the recent death of Peter Lenz, a 13 year old motorcycle racer.

Answer
Ref West Side.

In GP racing, the bike in question was a Morawaki MD250. Yes its called a 250 and YES it has 250cc, however in the true sense og GP racing, this machine is only a 125cc.

The new Moto3 formula ( due in 2012 to replace the 125cc 2 strokes ) will be powered by 250cc 4 stroke engines.

This sounds like "twice the engine / twice the speed " but in truth, these machines are slower then the 2 stroke machines they replace.

For any of you guys who dont follow modern Motorcycle racing ( mainly the MotoGP ) there has not been a champion in the last 30 years that did not RACING ( not riding ) when they were in single figures.

Peter Lenz won his first national title at 6 years young.
Valentino Rossi won his first title at .... 6 years young.

Maybe that might help you understand what the Lenz family were doing.

They were not trying to KILL their son, they were giving there son the best start into a wonderfull sport.

I'm 45 and single and looking to buy an eye catching car. Suggestions?

Money is not necessarily and issue. Am looking used though. Something between 2007 - 2012. I just don't want to drive around in a SUV. Want something cool looking.

Answer
Just what type of msg are you wanting to send? Consider the lyrics from Johhny Lee's "Looking for love in all the wrong places". A 6 series coupe or convertible will do exactly that. But with the cost of maintenance, replacing the run-flat tires [only with more run flat tires] premium fuel that may the extent of what you can afford.

I assume you haven't forgotten the lessons of the Great Crash of 2008 and have fully funded your Roth IRA, 401K and the 529 college fund[s] for your kid[s], the one[s] you get to see on weekends?

Then get a 645 and be sure to hang around your local BMW dealer at quitting time and hook up with a cute mechanic. You'll need one.

Since it sounds by implication your last relationship went bad I would go the other direction of glitter and try down to earth honest with similar interests. Those you don't meet due to a car, you meet them because you bike, hike, golf, play tennis, sail and have something in common.

I will be babysitting for the Summer,
and so far I have a 3 1/2 year old girl, a 1 1/2 year old girl, and a 4 year old boy on my list to babysit.

I'm used to sitting older children (above the age of 6), so I'm just wondering what fun ways I can keep them entertained so they can have fun over the Summer. (:

Thanks.

Answer
i babysit a lot as well and here is what i've found that works....
play doh, chalk, blocks, big legos, kid tv shows/movies, read them books!!!(kids i babysit always love it!), easy crafts(i.e. stickers and crayons--No sissors!), go to the park and play, go for a walk on training bike, bubbles, ring around the rosy, just running around and chasing them then letting them "chase" you, etc. just use whatever toys they have and play with them. you can't really play scheduled games becasue they dont understand how to play correctly.

here's what NOT to do....
hide and seek(they dont really understand how to play and you'll probably just lose them), messy crafts like paint, puzzles, board games

good luck!

best kids bikes for beginners image

Julz C

Im 15 years old, about 5'5" and im learning how to dirt bike. My dad offered a Kawasaki klx 110. Would that be a good bike to start on?

Answer
Julz,
Ignore the idiots. Kids start riding as young as 4 with PW's and the like. Girls should ride as much as guys. My little sister rides and has fun. Riding is not a "man" only thing. if you want, some of the plastics manufacturers, like ACERBIS, make pink and purple replacement plastics for the KLX.

at 5'5" The KLX would be good. Make sure he gets the regular wheeled version. If there is a "tall" wheeled version, the bike may be a bit tall. Thus it wouldn't do much for your confidence since you can't touch the ground.

The other option is the TTR110E from Yamaha. Same type of four stroke 110CC motor in a small wheeled package. The TTR110L is the big wheeled bike.

See if your dad will take you to the bike shop to go sit on them. Realistically, you only need to have 1 foot on the ground to ride a motorcycle, just like a bicycle. However, having both feet touch, even if it's the balls of your feet will help your confidence when you're a beginner.

HTH,

Why cars engines are smaller while motorcycle engines are getting bigger?

PRINCE OF

I mean in the 60s the biggest b@d@$$ motorcycle was the Triumph Bonvillie with 650cc air cooled parallel twin engine and I have heard numerous times from old citizens that there was a saying "you don't need anything bigger than 250cc". While cars used to be really big! I've not much knowledge about vintage cars but all of them used to had about 4.0L engine minimum.
Now as of 2013. 650cc bikes with modern technology like fuel injection, liquid cooling, high compression ratios and other electronics aids are considered beginner bikes (I'm looking towards Suzuki SV650 and Ninja 650R) even though they're lighter and also have more power than the old Bonvillie. While at the same time a car with anything over 2.0L engine considered BIG!
WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?

Answer
Well, cars were not "always" big. Look at a 4cly model T from the 1920's.
They started to grow in the 50's and kept getting bigger.
In the late 70's there was a gas crisis and MFRs started thinking about making things smaller. This is why they stopped growing by 1980.
During the 80's, the EPA became more powerful, butting more and more restrictions on emissions. The easiest way to bypass emissions is by making the car smaller.
When I was a kid, a Ford Taurus was considered a mid-sized car. Now it is considered a full-sized car. The reason is that actual full-sized cars do not exist any longer.
During the 80's, the song "Little Red Corvette" was made popular by Prince. Back then, the Corvette was little. That same Corvette today is 50% larger than the average "family sedan".

The only cars that haven't gotten smaller are trucks. The last top model Ranger would crush one of the original 1983 Rangers.

As for bikes, again, it's what's out there. A Bonnie was big in the 60's, because the only people making anything larger was HD.
But on the track, the Bonnie's main HD Competitor was still only a Harley xr 750

The Japs came and raised tha bar as to what could be expected , performance wise.

Today, there are more bikes to choose from, and they are much more sophisticated. It is true, a modern 650 is usually referred to as a beginner's or commuter's bike.
But a beginner could not ride a vintage 650. Also, if you put the power of a modern 650 into a vintage machine, you'd end up with horrible results.

I love old things, but old bikes were made for old traffic. The novelty of an old bike wears off when it can't keep up with, or stop quickly enough for modern traffic.

Those "numerous old citizens" of whom you speak, would probably have a heart attack if they took their old Triumphs and BSAs out for commuting service, 85 MPH stop-and-go traffic.
I guess it depends on where you live.
Many old bikes have flimsy frames and suspension. If you ride a new bike, then ride an old one, the last thing on your mind is making the old one go faster. On many old bikes, you feel like ur going 90 when ur going 70.
I almost died twice when my vintage BMW couldn't handle the ABS brakes of the guy in front of me. New cars stop on a dime compared to old bikes.
And if you leave too much of a space-cushion to make up for your "new for 1964" brakes, someone usually passes and fills up the space, leaving you with about 2 feet.
It sux.
I swore off riding old bikes for anything other than local, low speed events.
The closest thing I would ride to an old-tech bike is a Suzuki Savage.

What is best Quads Roller Skates or Inline Skates for Children?

Xatina

We would like to teach our daughters how to Skate. They are 4 and 6 but we are not sure what kind of skates we should buy for them. Should they start with Quads Skates or with Inline? when I was a child I started with Quads... Any help?

Thanks!

Answer
Quads are easier to initially stand up on but inlines are better once they progress beyond a smooth driveway. It is probably easier to start them on quads.

However, the big thing is that they want to learn and their abilities. My girlfriend has 6 1/2 year old boy/girl twins. The girl is more athletic.

I am an avid inline skater. Girlfriend used to do ice figure skating and quads. After the first time back on her quads, she tried inlines and hasn't gone back but uses a bike for longer skates that I go on.

I got inline skates for her kids but they have been "on again - off again" with using them. They found their bikes with training wheels to be more fun in the driveway and finally decided that loosing the training wheels was good this summer. Recently they have tied out ehe skates again and the new found balance from their bikes may help them stay up better. They seem to have matured a lot in their abilities this last summer.

If you get them skates, avoid the complete toys with hard plastic wheels. They have no grip when they get beyond the walking on them stage. There are a couple of brands (can't remember other than that they are the higher end toy companies) that make a three wheeled inline skate where you can remove the center and back wheels to convert them to a pair of rear wheels forming a tricycle arangement to be easier to stand up on.

Obviously, they will fall somewhat regularly, pads help them not scrape up their hands or knees. We are training the kids that they always must wear helmets with the skates or if they ride their bikes beyond the driveway.

My new story? What do you think so far?

best kids bike helmet review on bike helmet mirrors
best kids bike helmet review image
Q. I'm usually a fantasy writer, but this is a shot at writing a more modern book. i haven't had any reviews of this so far, so what do you think of this beginning?

The still night air was broken by a rumbling in the distance.
Silhouetted trees rustled softly, towering high over a dirt road that wound like a dizzy snake through the flat Australian countryside. Hours ago, the sun had beat down on native plants until the grass was scorched dry and creeks vanished. Even the night air was hot.
The rumbling grew closer, growling and snarling as metal monsters came screaming down the road, kicking up dust clouds in their wake. Insects that had been dancing in the night air scattered as the three Harleys roared by, one by one. The riders were clad in leather, their faces hidden by helmets.
They rode for another hundred meters, before the one in front made a quick hand gesture and swerved dangerously to the side, off the road and banking on the crispy grass. The other two followed and dismounted.
"Do we leave them here?" a male's voice asked.
"Use your brain, Jason," a female - the leader - replied. "Who's going to take them?"
The last rider, the youngest of the three, rested his helmet on the seat of his bike. He shook his jet-black hair away from his eyes. "What if we were followed?"
"Who would follow us? We're just a bunch of kids going for a ride, aren't we? Anyway, we're more than a match for anyone who would follow us," the girl said.
"At least it's night," Jason pointed out to his seventeen-year-old brother. To his older sister, he said, "Mind you, Viv, I reckon we should use cars from now on. Or at least get Alex to stop revving the bike like that."
Alex grimaced.
Vivian took her helmet off and tied her long, white-blonde hair into a ponytail. "Cars are no fun. What's the time?"
Jason checked his watch. "One thirty," he replied.
"We have half an hour. Let's get moving."

I'm going to post a more action-y scene in a few moments, but so far, what do you think?

Answer
Well first thing is first. The first sentence try arranging it as: A rumbling in the distance broke the still night air. Instead of what you have. other than that it's okay.At first I was bored but then it started to get interesting and it did leave me hanging wanting to find out more. I like your setting. try making it clearer because it sometimes gets to a point where it's confusing.
Other than that it's good.

What should i get for my first motorcycle?

Kyle

Right now ive been doing a little homework on looking around on bikes. I have rode before but im just working on getting my license then ill be getting a bike. But I'm 5'9 160lbs im also looking at what size bike to get, im very interested in the Kawasaki Ninja zx6r 636 and that's what ive been looking at. Are there any suggestions or help I could get?

Answer
Hope you have a lot of money. A sports bike with a beginners motorcycle license will be expensive for insurance. You would be better off getting a different class of bike for a year then after you establish yourself with the insurance company you will get a better rate. Also if you were my kid you would not be getting a Ninja as your first bike. My kids started off on dirt bikes then my old Honda Nighthawk to get driving experience before getting on high performance bikes with a lot of faring to crack if you drop it. Your choice though it is your money, skin and bike.

How hard is it to learn how to drive a sport bike?

zach r

I owned and rode dirtbikes regularly from the age of 10 to 17 (I am 20 now and feel responsible enough to get one). I am a strong kid and about 5'11.

I am thinking about a 600cc bike...Is this a good first bike?
Thanks in advance.

Answer
It isn't that hard to learn. It is HARDER to learn on too much bike, hence a good first bike is not a good bike to keep for the long haul. EX: I started out as a beginner going out on track days on a Yamaha R1 and had a horrible time. I was coping instead of riding and never really got going. Then I switched to a SV650 and rode the snot out of it and had a blast.

Modern 600's are not a good 1st bike. HP and riding position are SUPER aggressive and not conducive to learning well. Older ones like Honda f3 are ok. Better yet go for the SV650, GS500, FZR, etc etc. Get something that isn't your dream bike and learn on it, be prepared to perhaps plop it over and not have it be a huge deal. These other bikes we are mentining are NOT slow! new 600's are rippers these days!

THEN after your first season, spring for the 600 if you are feeling initial competency. It is different then dirt. You are going to get a kick out of countersteering!

Good luck!

I have a 7 year old and a 4 year old boy who are interested in dirt biking. What age would it be appropriate for them to start? I think they are a little young, my husband disagrees. What age did your kids start?

Answer
I think thats great that they want to start, there really is no age limit, you just have to go to a local dirt bike retailer and check some bikes out because they come in a bunch of sizes, i've been riding since i was 2 so i know what I'm talking about, its just takes practice. just make sure you teacher your kids and they should be fine.

What is a good dirt bike for a little kid?

Sami Rae

My son, Cayden is turning 3 on October 8th. Don't tell me he's too young to be riding dirt bikes. The kid has been riding dirt bikes and quads since my dad bought him a little ones on his first birthday. Right now Cayden is using my little brother's old dirt bike that he had when he was 3. I want to get him a brand new one but what is the best dirt bike?

Answer
DMR Transition dirt jumper is suitable for both amateurs and experienced riders. The great advantage of 26in Transition is its weight that encourages the riders to go for dirt jumping and you would not feel the weight when you are in full swing. Specifically designed drive-train of this jump bike gives great momentum and pushes the bike with good agility while airborne. No doubt, DMR Transition 26in is the right bike for dirt jumpers and street style riders.

We, my husband and two year old, are planning a move within 2011 / 2012 to Redwood City, CA area. We work from home in the IT field, so if we decide to transition to another company in the future, we want to be in an area with a lot of IT ProjMgr, OpsMgr, and ProdMgr job optys. Currently living in Raleigh, NC. Looking at this area, because of IT company options, weather, beach, and outdoor activities. We are primarily looking for a family oriented community, with plenty of safe sidewalks to bike, walk, and stroll on, parks to play in, playgrounds, overall outdoor living for the whole family, variety of family activities within a 15 minute drive, variety of 2005 or newer apartments to select from ($2k per month or lower, 3 bedroom, 2 bath), parent/toddler activities a must, variety shopping, organic shopping and restaurants, coffee shops and bookstores, etc. I provided details, so that I could get as much feedback from all of you as possible. Oh, and how much do utilities run out there (basic cable, internet, water, electricity). Thank you!

Answer
It is hard to get 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom for $2000 in Redwood city and you have so many extra requirements, you may get 2 bed, 2 bath for that price in somewhere near 101, north fair oak area.

Redwood shore is the place near oracle and so many professionals and new town houses, Emerald hills is the place where rich people living.

What do you want to see in The Sims 4?

Q. Well since there is going to be a sims 3 in 2009 i garentee through all the fans there probably will be a sims 4.If there was going to be a sims 4 what would you want in it?Heres what i want.

1.To be able to actually drive the car and have control like with the arrow keys or something.

2.To be able to disapline my sims children(grounding,no phones or something)

3.To go to school. We see the kids get in the bus but dont you ever wonder what they do when there there.Possably we could give them the action to throw spitballs at the teacher or something.

4.They need more toys for the kids especially toddlers.(maybe give them a blow up pool, bike or sandbox.)

5.Also i want my sim kids to go to other party's.I want to walk the neighborhoods and ring the door bells in others houses and go inside.

6.Lastly for the sims to speak english that would make it so much simpler.

- Sim City 4 lets you. It is not that fun. They won't put it in Sims... ever.

2.To be able to disapline my sims children(grounding,no phones or something)

I can bet you that it will be in Sims 3.

3.To go to school. We see the kids get in the bus but dont you ever wonder what they do when there there.Possably we could give them the action to throw spitballs at the teacher or something.

Sims 3 will let you. Confirmed for the most part.

4.They need more toys for the kids especially toddlers.(maybe give them a blow up pool, bike or sandbox.)

Sims 3 will let you, if not, there is mods.

5.Also i want my sim kids to go to other party's.I want to walk the neighborhoods and ring the door bells in others houses and go inside.

Sims 3, confirmed.

6.Lastly for the sims to speak english that would make it so much simpler.

They have said, it will never happen. There is a reason they have them speak that language. (No one knows what it is called.) The reason is that if they did let Sims speak English then people would complain that all the voices were generic. But, if they have a made-up language, they can just make the sound files higher or lower pitched.

I would not get your hopes up for a Sims 4, it would not be out till probably 2012 or 2013 and the way Spore is looking, it seems like Spore will take the place of the Sims.
