My mom refuses to buy me a good quality bmx bike because i usually break them because they are not good quality. Shes not cheap because she just bought me an ipod touch. does anyone know where can i get a job at 15?

My son goes to the skatepark by our house, and the high school boys have been using every cuss word in the book around him, and directly to him. They threaten him, and I am worried. I have considered not letting him go anymore, but he truly loves riding his bmx bike and razor scooter there. I want to know if there is a law against using the language that they use around the younger kids. I live in Oregon.

If its against the law to say profanity around minors? would that help your situation? The word Bitch can mean female dog and the word Dick can be someones name (excuse me if I offended anyone). Its not enough cause to stop from high school kids from bullying your son. Are you with him while this is happening? if not maybe you should pay a visit and stay with him.These kids may not have anything to do or go and find your son an easy target.Take a video camera and record him, possibly be a lil sneaky and tape the boys you suspect in bullying your son without them knowing or realizing it.
Although make your presence known don't be intimidated but also you shouldn't be rude, kids learn by example. If your son is uncomfortable with this idea then you need to tell him to stay home if you don't wish for him to get bullied or worse. This I say since I'm not sure how the neighborhood is like on your end.
I really cant imagine my kids not being able to enjoy the park. I hope this is short lived and resolved quickly, till then keep him company while he skates and don't leave him alone, you can be discreet about it by sitting a few feet away and taking a book and "pretending" to read.

All I have now is an old BMX bike I had since a kid. I think it is a standard-sized BMX bike, but I'm not sure if I would want to ride it because of its small size and the fact that it was probably designed for children.

What type of bike would you recommend for a college student?

I used to love riding my BMX bike around when I was a kid, and I would LOVE to ride one again, but I'm worried that I'd look like a kid if I rode it around campus (UIUC, to be exact). I'm getting rid of my big cruiser bike because it's just too large and attention-commanding. Any suggestions as to what might be best? It's gotta be under $125 because I'm ballin' on a budget. Please help!

Under $125, get on craigslist & start looking for a quality used bicycle. Preferably something that will allow you to add a rear rack & panniers to carry books & other things. A good comfort and/or hybrid bike is always a good choice. Something with 21 to 24 speeds.

yeah would i get my lisence revolked? do i have to be plastared drunk to get the dui? if i pass all the normal tests but blow just over the .08 limit will they probably just let me go? also im usually on a kids sized bmx bike if that makes a difference

CA law does not allow for a DUI on a bike. You could face only public intoxication charges. (Assuming you are over 21 and not looking at MIP) Note that the law section that cowboycop quotes is NOT dui, and does NOT carry any drivers license consequences.

When I was a kid a looong time ago...I am 42, the dream bike for any bmx rider was Redline. Are they still a respected expensive popular bike? They seem pretty cheap on eBay. I seem to remember they were one of the best bmx brands available when I was a kid. Is Red line still good? Also, what are the other popular BMX brands of bike and how much are the expensive ones?

for a while redline has been mostly racing bikes but now there are starting to make some great street/dirt/park bikes like the 7.1 the are still a great brand making great products

Ok I have a old black & gold Royce Union FX760 BMX Bike thats been sitting in my basement for years.Its still in good condition just has a bent rear axle.Should I fix it up or should I junk it?

If you're not using it anymore why not fix it up and donate it to a kid that doesn't have a bike. That gets it out of your basement and gives you a reason to sleep well at night.
